How a child spends the day in our home
The order moves with the weather and with the youngest children's naps.

Step 1: Arrival
Hellos at the door, coats on the hooks, and a few minutes to settle in with a book or the blocks.

Step 2: Play and stories
Free play on the rug and at the long table, then a story and a song before we get ready to go out.

Step 3: Outside
Yard, garden or a walk. In winter that means the gear list, and a lot of mittens.

Step 4: Lunch
Everyone sits at the kitchen table. Mathias cooks, the children help set the table.

Step 5: Rest
Babies go to their cots. Older children rest on mats with a quiet book.

Step 6: Afternoon and pickup
Art, playdough or more time outside, then a handover at the door.
Lunch is made at home
Soup in winter, fruit all year
Mathias cooks lunch for everyone. A sample menu: vegetable soup, bread and fruit in cold months; pasta and salad when it is warm. Families get each week's menu.
